Meditation on a Coke Can : Lifecycle Awareness of Manufactured Objects

Awareness, dependent origination, and impermanence are all important concepts in Buddhism. Can these concepts be applied to our everyday interaction with the environment? When looking at the Coke can you are about to throw “away.

Brothers and Sisters

"To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time. ~Clara Ortega"

Tell me, how close are you with your siblings? Some of use will say "me and my brother doesn't come along very well", "I wish he was not my brother" and some times people will say "Hate them" Ya. This is some of the line we heard everyday. Expression of people about their brothers and sisters.

"Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet." ~Vietnamese Proverb

Yes, that quote tells us all the true meaning of brothers and sister. For me, my sisters and brothers were the biggest gift that God had gave me. I am so glad they were mine.

We share laughter, happiness, joy, love, sadness and everything together. There were six of us and non is left behind. Times had brings us together. Experienced has keep us tight and memories has shaped us into a heart that will not break nor thorn.

That is how it should be done. That is how it should end. Brothers and sisters were ment to be as close as ever. They can't be replace as there were no one else as great as they do.

"Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they'll still be there. ~Amy Li"

My Mini City

Since I've been staying at home for quite some times now, I tend to look for interesting things to do. The 'interesting' thing was more into games actually. Well to be honest, I'm addicted to games. Any games that were fun, interesting and challenging will be my favourite. I can stay awake all night long just to finish the game.

Earlier this evening, I ask my brother in law about this one kind of game which allow us to build our own city. It was an online game and as soon as he explain to me about the game, I fell in love with it. I know it was not that challenging, but hey I may build my own city successfully.

So, what's the game called? Introducing...MYMINICITY

D'Luke City

I've just started playing this game few minutes ago, so the picture above is whats it look like for the newly build city. You guys must be wondering how is this game working rite? It's so simple and easy. At first you choose a city from a map, then named your city and that's it! Your city will develop each and every time a person visits it. So you need to promote your city in your blog or whatever dot com you had. When the number of residence increase to a certain amount required. It will automatically upgrade your city.

Hmmm I'm suck in explaining this game. But hey, I bet trying it yourself will be much helping you in understanding what the heck i'm trying to explain. Hahahahaa

Have Fun!

Think About it!

Dark red circles indicate oil spills and gray-shaded areas indicate sea pollution and land pollution from chemical fertilizers. Shown is only a small part of the entire pollution spectrum in 1988. At an average of every three months this globe becomes obsolete due to yet another major oil spill.

How many of you out there thinks this is a joke? Still thinking you are not responsible for this matter?

Make a Difference

Ever say to yourself. "But I'm just one person, what can I do?" Hitler was just one person, look what he did. Ok bad example, but the point is YOU can make a difference and this article is designed to inform you how.
  1. Acceptance is the first step toward recovery
  2. Recycling (Saw that coming?) What's the big deal? Use a separate trash can for plastic, use paper grocery bags to hold on newspapers while they wait to be taken to the recycling center, throw all the plastic bags into a bigger plastic bag for the same purpose. And if you're not into recycling, how about just not littering.
  3. Adopt a pet/animal
  4. Ride a bike or walk if possible, why? Everybody needs the exercise.
  5. Donate to charity (Don't have money? Well there's so many type of things you can donate)
  6. Volunteer, "But I don't have the time!" Nah, what are you doing during those long hours in front of the computer screen?
  7. Use MSN Messenger? add a simple *help to your name and MSN will donate a small portion to charity for every conversation you have.(Learn more at http://im.live.com/Messenger/IM/Home/Default.aspx?Source=im_tab)
  8. Purchase a fuel-efficient car.
  9. Develop a fuel efficient car.
  10. Plant a Tree
  11. Help someone

Again I'm Jobless

Ya,ya,ya I know last time I told you guys I wasn't jobless anymore. But, due to some complication at my x-company, I release myself from the group and now I'm back to KK JOBLESS and BROKE!
It has been a week now and still I didn't hear any news from all jobs that I've applied. Pity me..sob* sob* sob*. I'm totally 100% housewife at the moment. First few days at home was fun and I didn't feel bored at all. But then going to one week I became bored and bored and more bored. How I wish I got a job at this moment.
How long can I stand for being like this? Hopping for it to end right away.

For Sale!

One sister for sale!
One sister for sale!
One crying and spying young
sister for sale!
I'm really not kidding,
So who will start the bidding?
Do I hear a dollar?
A nickle?
A penny?
Oh, isn't there, isn't there,
isn't there any
One kid who will buy this old
sister for sale,
This crying and spying yound
sister for sale?

Brother for sale,
only 50 cents.
Brother for sale,
he's not a big expense.
You can hug him, you can bug him,
you can buy or rent.
Brother for sale, only 50 cents.

Would anyone like to buy a
slightly used big brother?
Even if you have one now,
trade him for another.
He will help you with the chores
and he's really clean.
The only problem is sometimes
he can be so mean.

Brother for sale, twenty-five cents.
Brother for sale, he's not a big expense.
You can hug him, you can bug him,
you can buy or rent.
Brother for sale, twenty-five cents.

If Mom knew we were selling him,
we would really get it.
Buy him now; don't wait till October;
on approved credit.
Buy him now and we'll tell you
what we will do Mister.
We'll throw into the deal
our little baby sister.

Brother for sale, only 10 cents...........

He will always pick you up
when you take a fall.
And he's good at showing
you how to catch a ball.
He always tells these funny jokes
and does this crazy dance.
Hey wait, he sounds like a pretty nice guy.
Let's give him one more chance.

Our brother's not for sale,
not for any price.
Our brother's not for sale,
we guess he will suffice.
We love to hug him,
we love to bug him, he's really rather nice.
Our brother's not for sale, not for any price

Congratulation to all my Friends

Finally the day has come for ME and the rest of my friends to step into a new world. Congratulation to all my friends for successfully completed their degree (including me hehe).

Actually this is not my first time attending a convocation. I've attended my diploma Convo before and therefor I was not that excited. But there's a big different between the two. This time my family was there. My fiance was there. The feeling is much more different when your love ones were there to witness and share your joy and happiness. We event took out family picture in a studio for the first time in our life.

During the day, I had to wake up like 5.30 in the morning just to get prepared and drove to Uni. Thank God it was Sunday and the road was like supper clear. I drove my car along with my fiance and took our breakfast near Uni. At first we were suppose to gather at in front of the hall like 7am sharp but we didn't hehehe well...to be honest, even thou we had to gather at 7 but still we have to wait like few hours more just to enter the hall. So, instead of going there early, I spent my time at the parking lot with my ex-roommate chatting while we put on our robe. Gosh it was so ot that day.

Hey talking about a hot day. The previous day of my Convo was my bestfriend Suzie's Convo and it was raining heavily. I was lucky it dint rain during mine. But hot hot hot. My sweat drops like waterfall. My face looks like ohh can't even mention it here. There for, me and my fam dint stay there for long. As soon as I finished. We directly left the area.

I don't event have time to say good bye to all my friends..I am sad. So sad when to think about it. Hopefully all my friends out there will always keep in touch with me and all the best with their life. Once again, CONGRATULATION!!
